Open Position: PT Marketing consultant/coordinator May thru October 2025

Hiring a PT marketing consultant/coordinator for the “Affinity Circle”, tentatively scheduled to convene on September 8th. The goal for this event is to create an intimate gathering for friends of SBAC to learn about this pioneering initiative, connect with fellow art enthusiasts, and explore how their participation can catalyze a meaningful position in the Suncoast arts community.

The consultant will collaborate with the SBAC Executive Director to develop and implement techniques to engage new and existing friends to embrace the importance of the existence and future of SBAC. With the intensity of government divisive movements taken against race and culture, the formation of the “Affinity Circle” has the potential to protect the arts as a rich part of American history, emotional joy, and celebration. The marketing coordinator creates a resource development initiative that will enhance SBAC’s mission to promote and celebrate artists of African descent and BIPOC populations and their contributions to the cultural fabric of the community.

This part-time role is ideal for an analytical thinker with a proven record in marketing and development planning, donor cultivation, and implementing successful marketing initiatives.  The position seeks an individual with interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build relationships to work independently and serve as the Marketing Consultant/Coordinator for the “Affinity Circle”.

Understand and Compensation:

  • The Consultant will collaborate with the SBAC Executive Director to conceptualize, plan, and execute a signature resource development initiative.
  • Develop a timeline, marketing goals, and key indicators to reach the marketing participation goal of community participation in the “Affinity Circle”.
  • Individual cultivation: identify interest in existing SBAC friends, cultivate new individuals through targeted outreach and relationship building.
  • Assist in creating marketing-specific communication materials and a campaign strategy.
  • The Consultant with the SBAC team (Executive Director, and Development/Grants Consultant) will conduct an assessment and evaluation of the initiative at the end of the event working towards continued interest and involvement of Patrons, Sponsors and Collectors to support the future of SBAC.
  • Hourly wage for 25 weeks beginning mid-May thru October.
